'Superman & Lois' to Recast Main Character for Upcoming Season

Producers of Superman & Lois are looking to recast a series regular role following the exit of Jordan Elsass,

who plays Jonathan Kent on The CW DC Comics series.

According to a report from Deadline, Elsass, 20, did not report back to the show's filming

location in Vancouver for the start of the upcoming third season.

"Jordan Elsass has notified the Studio that he will not be returning to Superman & Lois

for season three due to personal reasons," series producer Warner Bros.

said in a statement released Tuesday night. "The role of Jonathan Kent will be recast," it added.

In a since-deleted Instagram post back in June, Elsass reportedly opened up

about seeking treatment and taking a break from social media.
